On 2nd September 1992, I was given the greatest gift of my life, to become a trainee solicitor. Two years later, on 2nd September 1994, I was given an even greater privilege, to be admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. That privilege was repeated almost 20 years subsequently when I was admitted as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Over the last 32 years, my life has been enriched and enhanced by the most wonderful people with whom I have had the honour to work as a solicitor and advocate.
I cannot begin to thank those who, in the law firms in which I have had the privilege to practice, have helped me, in one way or another, on my career journey and brought me through a life more colourful and fulfilling than I could ever have imagined, desired or deserved.
But I hope that I can remember them. And if I cannot, then I sincerely apologise. To those of you who may receive this note, I thank you, most sincerely, for your kindness, wisdom, support, direction, perspective and all else that is never mentioned but never forgotten in a legal career.
In no particular order, thank you, most sincerely, for your great friendship, tolerance and help in carving a life and career beyond the broadest imagination of a very fortunate law school graduate.
